Our tours are designed for travellers between 18-40 years old, and the usual age range is from 21-35 years old. With premium twin/double room hotel accommodation we do travel in style, and welcome travellers of any age who want the best value tour.

Our group sizes are smaller compared to other tours, there will be a maximum of 16 guests on tour, along with the Sundream Team, this way every single guest will get the attention they deserve during the tour, and you'll get to know everyone really well!

Yes, your airport pickup is included on all Sundream Travels Tours, even if you arrive the day before the tour starts. As long as you are staying in the same area as the tour starts your airport transfer will be included.

We recommend arriving on the actual start date of the tour, which is when most guests usually arrive. The only included activity on this day is the welcome dinner in the evening, so as long as you land a few hours before this you won't miss out on any activities. Some guests prefer arriving a day before the tour starts to relax a bit and get over their jet lag, which is obviously fine, there are plenty of things to see and do before the tour actually starts.

If you arrive before the tour starts you will need to arrange pre-tour accommodation. We are happy to help arrange this for you at the starting hotel, just send us a message at hello@sundreamtravels.com or message your tour guide.

No, international flights to and from our destinations are not included in the tour price, and will need to be booked separately by the guest.

We recommend a backpack, but a suitcase is also fine if you don’t have a backpack. We also recommend bringing a small daypack to use for our hikes and activities.

We handpick all our accommodation, selecting only hotels that we know our guests will love! Amazing locations and overall quality ensure that you travel in style and get to rest up from some very active and fun-filled days when you tour with us! All our amazing hotels have twin/double rooms and we guarantee you’ll love them!

Of course you can! For single supplements it's and additional £350 for our 13 day tours both in The Philippines and Sri Lanka, and £450 for our 17 day tour in the Philippines.

You will either share your room with your friend if travelling with someone, your partner, or one of the other guests of the same sex.

Of course you can! Just let us know when booking and we will assign you a double bed for the entire tour!

There are several places to do laundry during the tour, local laundries are also very cheap, your guide will let you know the best spots for this to make sure it is finished before we move on to the next destination.

*Compulsory. It is a requirement to have valid travel insurance in order to participate on a Sundream Travels Tour. If you do not have travel insurance on arrival, you can still buy it on the ground before the tour starts.

Anytime if you join a Sundream Tour! As long as you follow the seasonal weather conditions Sri Lanka is always good! If you want to spent most of your time on the south coast we recommend our Maha tour, if you want to experience the gem that is Arugam Bay as well as some of the top spots on the south coast, we recommend our Yala tour.

We adapt our tour to give you the best possible experience in Sri Lanka. There are two main monsoon seasons in the country, and we plan around these, essentially following the sun, to give you the best tour we possibly can. This allows us to offer the best tour in Sri Lanka regardless of what time of the year you travel.

Yes, if you are coming on a Sundream Travels tour we actually follow the sun and will take you to the part of the country that has dry weather! There is always dry season and sunshine somewhere in Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka is a tropical destination, and the weather can change quickly. It does still rain in the dry season, but it usually does not last very long, and rarely interferes with any activities.

Yes, there is WIFI in all our accommodation, however WIFI in Sri Lanka is intermittent at best throughout the tour, the best way to stay connected during your trip is by picking up a local SIM card, we recommend Dialog, as data is cheap and the signal good throughout the country.

Sri Lankan food is absolutely incredible! Their main dish is rice and curry, which comes in endless different shapes and forms, like the popular chicken curry or crab curry, their staple dhal curry, as well as a wide variety of different vegetable curries. During the tour you will sample some of our favorite dishes from our favorite restaurants. There are also western options available throughout the tour.

Sri Lanka is a vegetarian or vegans dream! Sri Lankan cuisine has endless options for vegetarians and vegans, traditional curries are prepared using coconut milk, not dairy products, with endless different curries to sample.

We absolutely recommend trainers/sneakers/running shoes for the walks and hikes we do, but no need to bring hiking shoes. Flip flops/sandals are recommended for most of the time.

We recommend speaking to your local healthcare professional with regards to any vaccine related or medical questions.

Most nationalities require a visa or ETA (electronic travel authority) to enter Sri Lanka. This visa is typically for 30 days and can generally be done online, and needs to be done at least 3 days before arrival. The cost is usually approx. $35USD. You will need at least 6 months remaining validity and 2 blank pages in your passport. Check on your government's website for up to date visa information as this may change without any notice.

The tour bus will depart Ahangama in the morning on day 13, and is included for those who choose to use it to get to the airport or Negombo. Note this is a one time transfer, so for very early departures on day 13 we might not be able to accommodate the transfer, but your guide will make sure to cover this during the tour.

The bus will usually leave in the morning, no later than check out time at the hotel, but we schedule departure on this day based on what suits the group best overall, to accommodate the transfer for as many people as possible.

We recommend booking an afternoon/evening flight on day 13, in order to make the most of the day, and to be able to use the free airport transfer when the tour bus returns to Negombo and the airport.

Spending money varies a lot between our guests so this does really depend on how much you want to spend. We would recommend bringing £300/ $380 USD, but keep in mind you can definitely spend less if you want.
